Persisam has now fulfilled its Asian players quota by recruitting Australian striker, Jerry Boima Karpeh. Jerry who was born in Liberia but has Australia nationality is believed to complete Persisam’s squad.
This ex. Churchill Brothers SC (India number one league) player is believed to give more offensive power to Persisam, more over this striker has a different style with Christian Gonzales (another striker of Persisam).

“Jerry will be supporting Christian Gonzales in the matter of scoring a goal. The presence of Jerry in our front line will help to bring variation in our attacks. Because we have three strikers with different styles.” said the General Manager of Persisam Putra Samarinda, Tommy Ermanto Pasemah.
The joining of Jerry Karpeh in Persisam also complete the list of Persisam’s foreign players. As we know before, Persisam has already has Ronald Fagundez (Uruguay), Srdjan Lopici (Montenegro), and Luc Owana Zoa (Cameroon).
In the other side, PusamCyber had a chance of meeting him at Persisam’s Training Center in Jogja a few times ago and Jerry showed his enthusiast in playing for Persisam. “I really want to play in Indonesia. I hope Persisam will be my first club in Indonesia. I will prove myself there, moreover I’ve heard that Persisam also has fanatic fans in Samarinda.” said Jerry.
This 27 years old player is an Australian footballer who was born in Liberia. He also has a performance record as the topscorer when he played for Floreat Athena four years ago. And he also had played for Perth Glory. Beside Jerry Karpeh, Persisam also officially sign contract with Supriyono.
Meanwhile, with the joining of Jerry Karpeh and Supriyono in Persisam, this club is now has 21 players for the upcoming competition. Where all players are still having training center in Jogja. “We will come back to Samarinda when we received instruction from the management. Or perhaps, all players will be given day off and will be gathered in Samarinda before the kick off on 1st December 2011.” explained Coeng Agus Setiawan, the team manager.
